You can reduce the system impact of recording logon statistics for selected applications by recording statistics for only the first daily logon by each user, rather than for every logon by each user.

For applications that specify the APPL operand on the RACROUTE REQUEST=VERIFY request, you can specify daily logon statistics for selected applications by customizing the APPLDATA value of profiles in the APPL class. (Your installation might already use APPL class profiles to control user access to applications. See Protecting applications.)
