Commands that perform single operations

The following commands modify only one profile at a time on the RACF® database. Therefore, failures that occur during the processing of these commands affect only one profile.

The commands are:

ALTDSD (without the ADDVOL, ALTVOL, or DELVOL operand)
PASSWORD
PERMIT
RALTER
RDEFINE
RDELETE

To recover, perform the following steps:

Examine the error messages to identify the failure.
List the contents of the affected user or resource profile to determine the status of the contents.
If the requested update was not made to the user or resource profile, reenter the command.
If the requested update was made, the operation completed successfully before the error occurred.
If the failure occurs again, contact your programming support representative.
