The Data Security Monitor produces reports on the status of the security environment at your installation and, in particular, on the status of resources that RACF® controls. You can use the reports to audit the current status of your installation's system security environment by comparing the actual system characteristics and resource-protection levels with the intended characteristics and levels. You can also control the reporting that DSMON does by specifying control statements that request certain functions for user input.
