- JES2 holds SYSOUT data sets if:
- The JCL SYSOUT DD statement contains HOLD=YES regardless of the
OUTDisp specification on the OUTCLASS(v) initialization statement.
- The JCL OUTPUT statement contains OUTDISP=(HOLD,HOLD) or OUTDISP=(KEEP,KEEP),
regardless of the OUTDisp specification on the OUTCLASS(v) initialization
statement.
- The SYSOUT parameter on the JCL DD statement specifies a class
defined as held on the OUTCLASS(v) initialization statement with the
OUTDisp parameter.
- JES2 does not hold SYSOUT data sets if:
- The JCL SYSOUT DD statement contains HOLD=NO, regardless of the
OUTDisp specification on the OUTCLASS(v) initialization statement.
- The JCL OUTPUT statement contains OUTDISP=(WRITE,WRITE), regardless
of the OUTDisp specification on the OUTCLASS(v) initialization statement.
- The SYSOUT parameter on the JCL DD statement specifies a class
defined as non-held on the OUTCLASS(v) initialization statement with
the OUTDisp parameter.
