z/OS® Communications Server supports the REXX Sockets API and the REXX FTP API. The REXX FTP API is documented in z/OS Communications Server: IP Programmer's Guide and Reference. The REXX Sockets API is documented in this deliverable. Unless noted in z/OS Communications Server: New Function Summary, this REXX socket API is upward compatible. Application programs that use new functions will not be downward compatible. Rule: Unless indicated otherwise, all socket
commands that are listed are enabled for IPv4 and IPv6.
Tip: This API is compatible with compiled REXX.
