Users of GIMZIP may now specify subdirectories in which to store documentation, samples, readme files, and other files. This is done with the new subdir attribute of the <FILEDEF> tag of the GIMZIP package control statement. The subdirectory is created in a UNIX file system, within the parent directory pointed to by the SMPDIR DD statement in the JCL used to invoke GIMZIP.
