Example of installing service

Figure 1 shows a target system that was created by making a copy of the driving system on another pack and by making a copy of the root file system. The root file system is copied into another file system and is mounted within the file hierarchy. In this example, it is mounted to the /service directory.

The DDDEFs or the DD statements used by the cataloged procedure when applying service must point to the target system.

Example: The following example shows sample DDDEFs pointing to new target libraries:
LPALIB   DD  DSN=SYS1.LPALIB,VOLSER=TARGET,
             UNIT=3390,DISP=SHR

SFSUMBIN  DD  PATH='/service/bin/IBM'
