The printer

Printer performance, or throughput of the printer, is typically stated in impressions per minute (ipm). It depends on several factors, including:

• Mechanical speed
• Internal processing speed
• Attachment bandwidth
• Paper size
• Printer features

Duplexed pages contain two impressions, one on each side of a sheet of paper. N_UP printing places up to eight impressions on a sheet in duplex mode. For example, N_UP 4 duplex places four impressions on each side of a sheet of paper.
