There are PPRC paths in place from the primary volume to the secondary and also from the secondary to the primary. The target device tttt has greater volume capacity than the source device ssss. In this situation, your "switch pair, and swap" choice directs P/DAS to issue the following additional message to the system operator console:

IGF522A UNABLE TO SWITCH, FROM DEVICE IS SMALLER THAN TO DEVICE:
    REPLY 1 TO CONTINUE SWAP │ 2 TO TERMINATE SWAP

Select one of the message options, as described in Table 1.

If you choose to continue with the swap, the changes that occur between the swap and the subsequent resynchronization of the volume pairs will not be maintained on the old secondary volume.
