Add Storage Controller into IBM Cloud Infrastructure Center

Before you begin, decide how you want to connect remotely to the storage controller. If you are using user authentication, make sure to retain the username and password for the storage controller. Otherwise, for IBM Storwize storage, you can also plan on using key pairs.

Note: Request the administrator for user ID and password or key pairs. You need those credentials to register storage controller with IBM Cloud Infrastructure Center.

When the storage controller is ready, you can add it into management of IBM Cloud Infrastructure Center:

1. On the home page or the pane of Storage Providers, click Add Storage.

2. Select the Type of storage controller.

3. Specify the required information, then click Connect.

4. In the pop-up window, select the Disk Pool you will use and click Add Storage.

5. Wait for the storage provider to be ready.
