Desktop search for Notes

You can use desktop searching software to search your local client machine for documents, chats, and files and to view the results all together in the same list. For IBM® Lotus Notes® On Windows®, Vista, and Macintosh OS X systems, a search tool enables the indexing and searching of mail, calendar, task, contact, and journal documents from Lotus Notes and can also index discussion documents from discussion and teamroom templates if you select the Index discussion documents option. Results from Lotus Notes repositories appear in the same result set as results from file systems.

Note: On Windows systems, Notes® uses Google Desktop(TM) (Enterprise Edition) searching software, Google Desktop Search(TM), and on Vista systems, Windows Search software. On Macintosh OS X, Notes uses Spotlight searching software, and on Linux®, Beagle Desktop and Tracker Desktop software.
