Enabling the queue manager to generate specific events
Several types of queue manager events are not generated by the queue manager by default. You must first enable the queue manager to emit these events, so they can be monitored by the WebSphere® MQ agent.
About this task
Use the ALTER QMGR command to enable the queue manager to generate the events that you want to monitor.
Procedure
To enable the queue manager to generate the following types of events, use the listed commands:
- To generate authority events, issue ALTER QMGR AUTHOREV(ENABLED).
- To generate channel events, issue ALTER QMGR CHLEV(ENABLED).
- To generate command events, issue ALTER QMGR CMDEV(ENABLED).
- To generate configuration events, issue ALTER QMGR CONFIGEV(ENABLED).
- To generate inhibit events, issue ALTER QMGR INHIBTEV(ENABLED).
- To generate local events, issue ALTER QMGR LOCALEV(ENABLED).
- To generate logger events, issue ALTER QMGR LOGGEREV(ENABLED).
- To generate performance events, issue ALTER QMGR PERFMEV(ENABLED).
- To generate remote events, issue ALTER QMGR REMOTEEV(ENABLED).
- To generate SSL events, issue ALTER QMGR SSLEV(ENABLED).
- To generate start and stop events, issue ALTER QMGR STRSTPEV(ENABLED).
