URL filtering and the user authentication portal rule features work only if you configure an IP address on the appliance protection pair.

  • URL filtering
  • “Authenticate (Reject)” action in the network access policy rule (also known as a user authentication portal rule)

Procedure

  1. In the LMI, click Manage > Protection Interfaces.
  2. On the Protection Interfaces page, select the protection interface pair segment (example: 1.1-1.2), and then click Edit.

    • Address: An unused IP address on the client network (example: 192.168.51.100).
    • Netmask
    • Gateway
  4. Click Submit. The deployment banner is displayed.
