Configuring high availability

Use the High Availability tab to configure the IBM QRadar Network Security appliance for high availability support.

About this task

Navigating in the Local Management Interface: If you are not configuring your appliance for the first time, click Manage > Protection Interfaces.

Navigating in the SiteProtector™ System: select the Protection Interfaces policy.

On the High Availability tab, select the HA capable interface group to enable, and then click Edit.
Select Enable High Availability Mode, and then select the High Availability Mode:

Option Description

HA Protection Puts the selected protection interfaces into inline protection mode.

HA Simulation Puts the selected protection interfaces into inline simulation mode.

Note: You must directly connect each mirror interface for the selected HA group to the corresponding mirror interface on the HA partner appliance. You must also enable the same HA mode for the same HA interface group on the partner appliance.

HA Simulation	Puts the selected protection interfaces into inline simulation mode.
