Transferring files and build packages to within your IBM Sterling Order Management System environments

When you need to deploy or import a build package, data file, or other content, to your IBM® Sterling Order Management System environment, you must first transfer the file or package to a drop server. After you transfer the file or package, the file or package can be retrieved by the appropriate tool or utility and imported or deployed into your IBM Sterling Order Management System environment.

• If you need to transfer a package of custom assets for deployment with the IBM UrbanCode® Deploy Selfserv tool, you must transfer the package to your drop server.
• If you need to retrieve or view log files from within your IBM Sterling Order Management System environments for debugging or monitoring purposes, you must use the drop server.
