Usereplicationfailover

The usereplicationfailover option specifies whether automated client failover occurs on a client node.

Use this option to enable a client node for failover or to prevent it from failing over to the secondary server. This option overrides the configuration that is provided by the Tivoli® Storage Manager server administrator settings on the primary server.

Supported Clients

This option is valid for all clients.

Options File

AIX operating systems HP-UX operating systems Linux operating systems Oracle Solaris operating systems Mac OS X operating systems Place this option within a server stanza in the dsm.sys file.

Windows operating systems Place this option in the client options file (dsm.opt).

Parameters

Yes: Specifies that you want the client to automatically fail over to the secondary server if the primary server is unavailable. The client uses the configuration that is provided by the primary server to connect to the secondary server. This value is the default.
No: Specifies that the client does not automatically fail over to the secondary server.
