Gather diagnostic information to help you troubleshoot problems with dynamic scripting applications. Many sources of CICS diagnostic information contain information that applies to dynamic scripting applications.
Troubleshooting dynamic scripting applications
If you have problems with your dynamic scripting application, you can use troubleshooting steps to help you identify the problem. The problem might be in the configuration, deployment, or at run time.
Troubleshooting security
If security is configured, but the web application is not requesting authentication, there are a number of checks you can complete to help you to identify the problem.
Troubleshooting with the execution diagnostics facility (CEDX)
You can use the execution diagnostics facility (CEDX) on the dynamic scripting application transaction to diagnose problems with JCICS commands.
Troubleshooting with the Eclipse TCP/IP Monitor
The Eclipse tool provides a TCP/IP Monitor that you can use to monitor requests between the client and CICS. The TCP/IP Monitor might be useful if your web application is complex.
Dynamic scripting messages and codes
Messages that are issued by the CICS TS Feature Pack for Dynamic Scripting V2.0 have the prefix CWWDS. The Dynamic Scripting Feature Pack error messages are written to the dfhjvmerr log file.
