Prerequisites

To use the CICS® Transaction Server for z/OS® Feature Pack for Dynamic Scripting V2.0, you must have the correct versions of software and service installed.

Your environment must comply with the following prerequisites:

  • CICS TS Version 5.1 with APAR PM80214 applied, CICS TS Version 5.2, CICS TS Version 5.3 with APAR PI54275 applied, or a later version of CICS TS.
  • The latest version of IBM® CICS SDK for Java™, with the latest service level applied. To download the IBM CICS SDK for Java, go to the CICS Explorer downloads. All the packaging and deployment tasks, including implementing the example application, can be performed by using IBM CICS SDK for Java. If required, you can also develop your PHP code in the IBM CICS SDK for Java.
  • The OSGi Application Development Tools will be installed with the latest version of IBM CICS SDK for Java.
  • If you want to develop or debug PHP code by using the IBM CICS SDK for Java or another instance of Eclipse, the latest version of the PHP Development Tools (PDT) must be installed into the IBM CICS SDK for Java or Eclipse instance.
