Using the SET/INQUIRE JVMENDPOINT SPI to view and set JVM endpoints

The SET/INQUIRE JVMENDPOINT SPI is used to enable or disable JVM server endpoints and retrieve endpoint information from the server.

Viewing and setting JVM server endpoints

JVM servers can offer endpoints that provide methods for remote access, monitoring or management. For example, when a health center agent provides a means to open a port to remotely monitor a JVM process.

The SET/INQUIRE JVMENDPOINT command provides a method to retrieve information about JVM endpoints and control them by enabling or disabling them. The INQUIRE JVMENDPOINT command enables you to retrieve endpoint information, while the SET JVMENDPOINT command lets you enable or disable them. A disabled JVM endpoint cannot listen to any remote communication.
