OPNDLIM

The OPNDLIM system initialization parameter specifies the open destination and close destination request limit.

OPNDLIM={10|number} (Not required for currently supported releases of z/OS® Communications Server.): This limit is used to restrict the number of concurrent OPNDSTs and CLSDSTs to prevent the z/OS Communications Server from running out of space in the CICS® region. The limit may be any value in the range 0 through 999. When large values are used for OPNDLIM, the value on the EDSALIM system initialization parameter and the value on the MVS™ REGION parameter may need to be adjusted to ensure that enough operating system storage is available.
