Scenario: Testing applications with Workload Simulator for z/OS

By using Workload Simulator for z/OS®, you can run workloads through your applications to perform performance and volume testing, and help with capacity planning.

Workload Simulator for z/OS (WSim) is a terminal and network simulation tool that you can use to determine system performance and response times. This scenario was developed using the general insurance application and uses some sample workload simulations to demonstrate how to set up and perform volume testing. If you want to try out the scenario, you can either set up WSim to run workloads for an application in your own set of CICS® regions, or set up a copy of the general insurance application as described in the scenario.
