DB Retrieval Debug view

The DB Retrieval Debug view shows details of the SQL queries that are issued by the CICS® IA or CICS PA plug-in and that are being logged. You can use this view to start or stop logging the SQL queries, and to clear the table of entries in the view.

To open the DB Retrieval Debug view, use the following steps:
  1. From the workbench menu bar, click Window > Preferences > Database Retrieval Parameters > DB Retrieval Debug to display the Database Retrieval Debug pane in the Preferences window.
  2. Click Open Debug View, then click OK.
The DB Retrieval Debug view shows a table of SQL queries that are logged and shows the following information:
Message
The text of the SQL query.
Date
The time and date when the SQL query was issued.
Thread ID
The ID of the process thread that executed the SQL query.
You can use the following icons in the toolbar:
  • SQL Logging: On or SQL Logging: Off icon SQL logging icon. Start or stop logging the SQL queries, as appropriate.
  • Clear log table icon Clear log table icon. Clear the table of SQL messages in this view.
