New in CICS Explorer®

CICS® Transaction Server for z/OS® Developer Trial, Version 5 Release 2 is the trial edition of CICS TS 5.2. This release provides full support from IBM and makes it easier to move between editions of CICS TS for z/OS.

The new features of CICS TS 5.2, described in What's new, are available in CICS TS Developer Trial 5.2. In addition, there are the following changes:

• This edition is fully supported. You no longer need to wait until the next scheduled update from IBM for fixes to any problems that you encounter.
• You can upgrade from CICS TS Developer Trial 5.2 to either CICS Transaction Server for z/OS Value Unit Edition, Version 5 Release 2 or CICS Transaction Server for z/OS, Version 5 Release 2, without having to reinstall and retest your applications.
