Wildcard search in the admin client

Use wildcard search within terms to resolve investigative issues faster.

Searching with wildcard characters

You can use question mark (?) and asterisk (*) characters to perform a wildcard search.

? (question mark) finds any single character. For example, searching for sm?th finds "smith" and "smyth".

* (asterisk) finds any number of characters. For example, searching for *east finds "northeast" and "southeast".

~ (tilde) followed by ? or * searches for the question mark or asterisk instead of using those characters as wildcard inputs. For example, searching for payee~* finds "payee*". Use a tilde if you have question marks or asterisks in your data.

Wildcard support

You can use wildcard search in any table where you apply filters to data. For example, you can search in a table in Composer or in the audit log.
