IBM Security Identity Governance and Intelligence, Version 5.2.3.1

Driver Configuration

Use this tab to configure the properties of the driver that is used by the connector.

The properties differ according to the type of driver, but they generally specify information such as:
  • Details for connecting with the target system
  • Identification data
  • Details about the format that is used to send and receive data
Important: If Identity Governance and Intelligence is in a cluster environment, see also Configuring enterprise connectors in a clustered environment.
Each connector includes the Driver accordion pane. This pane includes the following:
Table 1. Driver pane fields and buttons
Field or button Description
Events Marker Shows the event marker that is selected for this driver. An event marker represents the target system that is linked by this driver (and connector) as the sender or recipient of events to or from Identity Governance and Intelligence.

Event markers are defined in the Manage > Account panel of the Access Governance Core module. Each marker is closely associated to the account that is linked with an application. With an exception for the IDEAS event marker, an event marker cannot be associated with more than one driver.

Reset Resets the driver cache. Click Reset to delete the hash file of the driver. This action can be run only on drivers that do not use a trigger.
Test Connection Checks the state of the connection that is configured for the driver.
Query Checks the driver query values.
Dump Applies to drivers used in Reconciliation mode. An operating system window is opened to save the file that is created with the values of the Reconciliation process.
Save Saves the current configuration.
Cancel Discards configuration changes that are not saved.

Complete the mandatory information in the accordion panes, which vary, depending on the type of driver. For example, an LDAP driver has different accordion panes than a Linux or CSV driver.

Each accordion pane displays a list of driver properties as shown in the following table. The properties are specific to each type of driver.
