IBM Maximo Spatial Asset Management, Version 7.6.0.4

Data migration for Map Manager

When you upgrade to Maximo® Spatial Asset Management v7.6, existing Maximo Spatial Asset Management v7.5 Map Manager function is accessible from the IBM® Maximo Asset Management v7.6 Map Manager application. Maximo Spatial Asset Management v7.5 Map Manager configuration data is moved to the IBM Maximo Asset Management v7.6 Map Manager application.

Some database tables that are related to the  Maximo Spatial Asset Management v7.5 Map Manager (Spatial) application are deleted from the database. Other tables are modified as they move to the new database schema.

Some existing data continues to be stored in previously defined Map Manager (Spatial) application tables, but the relationship of these tables is redefined.
Table 1. Maximo Spatial Asset Management database table migration
Maximo Spatial Asset Management v 7.5 Map Manager (Spatial) application database tables IBM Maximo Asset Management v7.6 Map Manager application database tables
plussmapmanager mapmanager
plussmapsites mapsites
plussmaptipcfg maptip and maptipmenu

The plussmapmanager, plussmapsites, and plussmaptipcfg tables are deleted after a successful upgrade.

When copying data, the upgrade process checks to ensure that a record from Maximo Spatial Asset Management v7.5 does not share a site with a current record in IBM Maximo Asset Management v7.6. No 2 records can share a site. If a Maximo Spatial Asset Management v7.5 record includes a site already in use, the record is moved into IBM Maximo Asset Management v7.6 without an assigned site.

An existing IBM Maximo Asset Management v7.6 Map Manager record is updated during the upgrade when it is configured to use Maximo Spatial Asset Management as the Map Provider. If the IBM Maximo Asset Management v7.6 Map Manager record uses the same site as the imported Maximo Spatial Asset Management Map Manager record, it is updated with information from the Maximo Spatial Asset Management Map Manager record.
