Creating a profile (Standard UI)

You can create a new profile based on an existing profile, including the "Default" profile that is supplied with the product.

Procedure

  1. Select the Administration menu and click Profiles.
  2. On the Profiles table, click Add.
  3. On the Add Profile page, type a name for the profile. The name should be easily recognizable by users and identify the purpose for which it is designed. Profile names cannot be translated or changed after they are created.
  4. Click Based on Profile and select the profile to use as a template for the new profile.
  5. If you want the new profile to be the default profile, select Default. For more information, see Setting a default or fallback profile).
    Important: Creating a default profile might affect the way IBM OpenPages® with Watson™ handles objects and profiles.
  6. If you want the new profile to be the fallback profile, select Fallback. For more information, see Setting a default or fallback profile).
  7. Click Create.
  8. To configure the profile, do one of the following tasks:
