Adjusting the queue depth of a monitor model

You can use the WebSphere® Application Server administrative console to adjust the maximum queue depth for a monitor model.

Before you begin

Before you begin this task, you must log in to the WebSphere Application Server administrative console.

About this task

For several reasons, you might want to increase the maximum queue depth for a monitor model in the following situations:
  • When maintenance is planned for machines on which the monitor model is running
  • When 6.0.2 emulation has encountered an error causing the Java™ Message Service (JMS) queue to back up until the problem is resolved
  • When the monitor model cluster requires more capacity and, until the capacity comes online, the emitter is producing more messages than the existing hardware can accommodate

To adjust the queue depth of a monitor model, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. In the WebSphere Application Server administrative console, click Service Integration > Buses.
  2. On the Buses page, click MONITOR.your_cell.Bus.
