Known issues for translated IBM BPM components
Consider known issues and limitations for IBM® Business Process Manager components translated into national languages.
- The desktop IBM Process Designer contains a few English labels and messages that are not translated into Romanian
- When you use the desktop Process Designer with a Romanian locale preference setting, you notice a few of the labels and messages in the UI are in English. Although the desktop Process Designer is translated into Romanian, the underlying code that the desktop Process Designer uses was not. Most of the content is shown in Romanian; however, a few of the labels and messages are in English. These labels and messages will not be translated.
- You must modify the 60Database.xml file to allow user names and passwords to contain the letter i in the Turkish locale
- For the Turkish (tr) locale, you must set the case-insensitive-security-cache entry in the 60Database.xml file to false to allow user names and passwords to contain the letter i. The 60Database.xml file is located in the install_root\profiles\profile_name\config\cells\cell_name\nodes\node_name\servers\server_name\process-center\config\system\ directory.
- Google Chrome and Apple iPad Safari browsers do not fully support Simplified Chinese
- The Google Chrome browser and the Apple iPad Safari browser do not fully support GB18030 Simplified Chinese encoding. Therefore, some characters are missing or corrupted in some IBM Business Process Manager tools. Use a browser that supports the Simplified Chinese (zh) character set.
- You cannot use CTRL + SPACE as a hot key for both Chinese language input typing and with the web Process Designer
- The JavaScript automatic code completion feature in the web Process Designer uses the keystroke combination CTRL +
SPACE. However, this keystroke combination is often used as a hot key for Chinese language input
typing. If you want to use the JavaScript automatic code completion feature in the web Process Designer, do not use the CTRL + SPACE combination
as a hot key for any other purpose.
You can check to see if there is another hot key using CTRL + SPACE and change it to another keystroke combination. In the Text Services and Input Languages dialogue box, click .
- On iOS systems, in Arabic and Hebrew locales, the lite Multiple Select and lite Single Select controls are on the wrong side of the page
- On iOS systems, in Arabic and Hebrew locales, the lite Multiple Select and lite Single Select controls are on the right side of the page instead of on the left, where they should be.
- Dojo toolkit limitations prevent use of Arabic and Hindi numbers in IBM Business Process Manager some coach controls
- When you enter an Arabic or Hindi numeral, such as ١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩,
in the Decimal or Integer control in a coach, the input field displays
an error message.
The Coaches toolkit uses a version of the Dojo toolkit that does not support Arabic or Hindi numerals. As a result, you cannot enter these numerals in the Decimal and Integer controls when using coaches.
