Longer response times for Cognos widgets in the Monitor dashboard space after the server is restarted

The Cognos service requires dedicated program binaries. When Cognos is installed on a clustered server member, the Cognos program binaries are copied during the first startup of the Cognos server. The binaries are placed under the profile directory, and the file permissions are set at that time.

Cause of the problem

The longer response times are caused by initialization in the IBM® Cognos® BI component included in IBM Business Monitor.

Resolving the problem

Longer response times happen only immediately after the server is restarted. Afterwards, all response times are normal for all users until the server is restarted again.
