Using IBM Forms Server API and IBM Forms Viewer with IBM Business Process Manager

You can use forms created by IBM® Forms Designer as the user interface for human tasks and processes.

Before you begin

Review the following related information at IBM Forms documentation:

• Using the API with WebSphere® Application Server
• Installing the Viewer

• Install the IBM Forms Server - API.
  Important: If you are configuring an existing installation of Lotus® Forms Server API and you did not check "Deploy to WebSphere Application Server" when you installed the IBM Forms API, or if you installed IBM Business Process Manager after installing IBM Forms Server API, you must manually configure IBM Business Process Manager to work with the IBM Forms Server API. To perform this configuration use the task description "Using the API with WebSphere Application Server" in the IBM Form Server - API information center.
  1. Run the IBM Forms Server API installation program.
  2. Choose /runtime/ when prompted for the installation type.
  3. Check Deploy to WebSphere Application Server when prompted for location type.
  4. Type the location of the IBM Business Process Manager you are using for IBM Forms when prompted.
• Install the IBM Form Viewer.
  1. Run the installation command.
  2. Complete the installation as described in "Installing the viewer" in the IBM Forms Viewer information center.
