Each subcomponent of IBM WebSphere Adapters has a unique
message ID to help you determine where the message came from.
To help you understand the conditions that you might encounter
while using IBM WebSphere Adapters, each condition message has three
components the Message, Explanation, and Action. A message is composed
of two parts (message ID and text).
- Message ID
- This part is the message ID. It is a unique number that identifies
a message. A final character "E" indicates that the message resulted
from an error. "W" indicates a warning message, and "I" an information
message.
- Message text
- This part contains the message text as it is displayed on the
screen. Message variables, such as the specific name of an element,
are indicated with italics.
- Explanation
- This part contains an additional explanation of the message. If
the message is self-explanatory, this section might not appear.
- Action
- This part suggests corrective action to fix the error. If the
message already contains a suggested action, this section might not
appear.
The standard message ID format is:
AAAANNNNT
where:
- AAAA represents the component identifier
- NNNN represents a four digit identifier
- T represents the type of messages. There are three message types:
- I represents informational messages
- W represents warning messages
- E represents error messages
The following component identifiers are used for IBM WebSphere
Adapters messages.
