Configuring a stand-alone environment with an SQL Server database
server on AIX
You
can configure a stand-alone environment for IBM® Business Process Manager using
a Microsoft SQL Server database
server.
Creating SQL Server databases IBM Business Process Manager requires
a Process Server database, Performance Data Warehouse database, and
Common database. The Common database contains Business Space and other
components. You must create the databases before network deployment.
Creating database design files for SQL Server
You can specify the design
of your database configuration by using the database design tool.
The design can be for a specific component or for an enterprise-level
database configuration supporting the full functionality of IBM Business Process Manager.
Creating or augmenting stand-alone profiles with an SQL Server database server
You can create profiles using the
Profile Management Tool or the manageprofiles command-line
utility. You can augment an existing profile instead of creating a
new one if you have an existing WebSphere® Application
Server V8.0 profile.
Configuring SQL Server databases after stand-alone profile creation
If you did not create the tables for the databases
while creating or augmenting profiles, you or your database administrator
must create the databases and their tables manually, and you must
also run the bootstrapProcessServerData command
before you try to start or use the IBM Business Process Manager server.
