Stopping managed servers

Stop the server before modifying certain configurations for the server or the modules deployed on it. Note that you can stop a single server in a cluster.

Before you begin

Make sure that there is no work in progress; performance monitoring infrastructure counters can indicate whether all queued work is complete. In addition, prevent new work from starting by disabling HTTP and IIOP traffic and quiescing the service integration bus.

About this task

To stop a managed server, perform the following steps.

Procedure

  1. From the administrative console on the deployment manager, click Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers.
  2. Select the server from the Application servers collection page, and then click Stop.
