Before you use IBM
FileNet Collaboration Services to
enable IBM Connections users
to store content on IBM
FileNet P8,
you must verify that your IBM
FileNet Collaboration Services web
application was successfully deployed to your web application server.
Before you begin
Ensure that you completed the following tasks:
- Ran all of the tasks in the IBM Content Navigator
Configuration and Deployment Tool
- Completed any required post-deployment tasks on your web application
server
- Restarted the web application server where you deployed your IBM
FileNet Collaboration Services application
See the completed Worksheet for verifying your deployment when you complete this task.
Procedure
To verify that IBM
FileNet Collaboration Services was
successfully installed and deployed:
Verify that you can access the IBM
FileNet Collaboration Services status page:
-
Open a web browser and enter the URL with the following
format: http://host_name:port_number/context_root.
By default, the
IBM
FileNet Collaboration Services context
root is
dm.
Tip: The format of the
URL can vary depending on your environment:
- If you deployed IBM
FileNet Collaboration Services to
a highly available cluster, the URL must point to the load balancing
server: http://load_balancer_host_name:load_balancer_port_number/context_root.
- If you are using SSL, the protocol of the URL is HTTPS: https://host_name:port_number/context_root.
- If you are using IBM Security Access Manager for
single sign-on (SSO), the URL is http://TAM_server_name/context_root.
What to do next
After you verify your deployment, you must install the add-ons
that are required for IBM
FileNet Collaboration Services to
your object stores. You can also complete any additional administration
tasks before you use IBM
FileNet Collaboration Services with IBM Connections.
