Auto-initialization of the IBM Content Navigator configuration database

If the IBM® Content Navigator tables do not yet exist, you can create the database tables by using a modified database script.

Before you begin

You must have already created the database and set up the data source in the application server.

For additional information about creating the IBM Content Navigator database, see Running the script to configure your database for IBM Content Navigator.

Procedure

To create the IBM Content Navigator configuration database, the complete the following steps:

  1. Complete all of the IBM Content Navigator configuration manager steps without running the database script.
  2. Opening the IBM Content Navigator URL will trigger the creation of the IBM Content Navigator tables and database components. The IBM Content Navigator login page will then display.
  3. To ensure everything was created correctly, see your WebSphere Application Server log file for any errors.

Results

All of the IBM Content Navigator tables and other database components are created according to your script.
