Windows: Configuring Remote Execution Protocol on Windows
Configure remote access settings by using these procedures.
Before you begin
Tip: Ensure that
the Remote Registry in Windows Services
is started, and ports 445, 137, and 139 are unblocked in the firewall.
Procedure
If the system is running on Windows, complete the following steps to
disable User Account Control:
- The built-in Administrator account must be enabled. To enable the built-in administrator account, click Security Settings, double-click Local Policies. Double-click Security Options. Double-click the Accounts: Administrator account status section. Select Enable and click OK. . Then, under
