Track the movement of volumes that are returned onsite by DRM for data restore operations

To protect your data from onsite disasters, you can use disaster recovery manager (DRM) operations to move storage pool volumes from an onsite library to an offsite vault and return the volumes onsite to restore data, when necessary. With IBM Spectrum® Protect Version 8.1.11, the RESTOREONLY media state is provided for storage pool volumes that are brought onsite by DRM operations solely to restore data.

The volume is checked into the library to enable restoration of data. To ensure that the volume is used only for data restoration, the access mode of the volume is read only. To track the movement of these volumes and specify them as RESTOREONLY, you can use the MOVE DRMEDIA command and specify the WHERESTATE=RESTOREONLY or TOSTATE=RESTOREONLY parameter values.
