Configure the IBM Spectrum Protect client

After installing the backup-archive client, you must configure it before performing any operations.

Tip: After you install the backup-archive client, the IBM® License Metric Tool counts the client only if it is connected to the IBM Spectrum® Protect server and is used for data operations. Subsequently, that client is always included in license calculations. Clients that are not connected to a server and are not used for data operations are excluded from license calculations.
