IMS 15.2 continuous delivery functions

IMS functions are delivered using PTFs as part of the IMS continuous delivery enhancement process and allow you to use new enhancements faster and more frequently.

The following tables describe new IMS functions that are provided as part of the IMS continuous delivery process:

Some new IMS functions affect IMS Tools. To keep your IMS Tools working as expected, you must apply the APARs/PTFs specified in the 'IMS Tools' column. For a list of functions delivered as part of the continuous delivery process for the IMS Tools family of products, see IMS Tools: New Functions Available via Continuous Delivery.

New functions that are not enabled by default can be enabled statically by defining the function as enabled in the appropriate member of the IMS PROCLIB data set and cold starting IMS. Some statically enabled functions can be disabled by defining the function as disabled in the appropriate member of the IMS PROCLIB data set and cold starting IMS. Other functions, due to either technical or strategic requirements, or because they do not impact IMS until you choose to use them, are enabled by default after you install the PTF.

In the following tables, the information about "Can be enabled dynamically" and "Can be disabled dynamically" indicates that a function can be enabled or disabled dynamically by using the UPD IMSFUNC command.
