APPL COMPAT LEVEL field (APPLCOMPAT subsystem parameter)
The APPL COMPAT LEVEL field specifies the default value of the APPLCOMPAT BIND option. The APPL COMPAT LEVEL field specifies the default value of the APPLCOMPAT REBIND option when there is no APPLCOMPAT value for the existing package in the Db2 catalog.
This subsystem parameter is the default value of the APPLCOMPAT BIND option when it is not explicitly specified. This subsystem parameter is the default for the APPLCOMPAT REBIND option when there is no APPLCOMPAT value for the existing package in the Db2 catalog.
Tip:
Do not to raise the default application compatibility level of the

Instead, wait until applications are stable in Db2 11 and any incompatibilities are resolved, or any
applications with remaining incompatibilities are explicitly bound at an appropriate application
compatibility level. For details, see Enabling default application compatibility with Db2 11.
Tip: Set all Db2 data sharing members to the same value.
