Creating custom data groups

You can organize column data into custom groups so that the data is easier to read and analyze. Create custom data groups directly in a dashboard without having to open the data modeling component.

About this task

Complete the following steps to create a group, see what columns are included in the group, edit the name of the group, or remove a group.

Note: Custom data groups can be applied to measures and to relational databases only. If you are using an OLAP package, the Custom data group option is not available.

    A toolbar appears.
  3. Click the Select tool Select tool icon in the toolbar.
