Securing JDBC data servers with SSL
Use the following procedure to secure JDBC data servers with SSL.
Procedure
- Ensure that the data server is configured for SSL outside of the IBM® Cognos® Analytics environment.
- In Cognos Analytics, ensure that the data server connection JDBC URL and connection properties are updated to include any required parameters, as per the provider documentation for enabling SSL via JDBC.
- Import the SSL certificate(s) into the Cognos Analytics JRE trust store, as documented in the Copying the CA certificate to Cognos Analytics servers topic. The certs need to be imported into jre/lib/security/cacerts, and the default password for that is changeit.
