Run permissions for an asset
To display the run permission options for an entry in the Team content folder, you may need to renew your credentials.
Support for links in maintenance messages
An administrator can create a link to a web site that users can open when they read a maintenance message in the alerts banner.
Apple push notification settings removed from Cognos Analytics Mobile Reports
Apple push notification settings are now removed from the Cognos Analytics Mobile Reports configuration settings. This functionality is now provided by IBM Cloud Push Notification Services.
Revised documentation on SSL certificate management
The documentation about managing SSL certificates from external certificate authorities (CA), including the ThirdPartyCertificateTool commands, was revised.
Search enhancements
In addition to the existing filter options, IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1.7 FP3 allows you to filter on Report Views, Jobs and Shortcuts when you search for content. You can also specify how many search results appear on each page by selecting the 50, 100, or 500 option, or by entering a different number.
Expanded job options
In release 11.1.7 FP3, the Jobs user interface provides you with more options so that you can manage a very large number of reports more quickly.
Bulk enabling and disabling of schedules
In your Personal menu, under My schedules and subscriptions, you can select all of your schedules at once. You can then enable or disable your entire selection by clicking Enable selected or Disable selected.
Disable option for running jobs all at once
Administrators can now disable the option to create a job in which every report is run at the same time.
Vendor-supported driver versions tested with 11.1.7 FP3
IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1.7 FP3 supports an updated list of client driver versions.
New data server connection property
The ibmcognos.maxRowsRetrieved property on a data server connection can be used to set the maximum number of rows that are returned in an SQL query.
Support for multiple network adapters in configuration groups
A server that has more than one network adapter can now be a member of a configuration group. Using pattern matching methods, you can configure the Member coordination host property in Cognos Configuration. This ensures that configuration values remain available and consistent on all nodes of a distributed installation.
Authentication using JWT with Snowflake connections
You can configure a connection to Snowflake using the Snowflake JDBC driver so that it passes a JSON Web Token (JWT) when authenticating to the database.
Transform user identifier checkbox
In the Administration console, the connection editors for SQL Server, Oracle and SAP BW now include the Transform user identifier check box. When you select this check box, Cognos Analytics removes the domain name from the user ID that is returned by the external namespace before establishing the database connection.
