Show member attributes in the cube view

Some dimension members have attributes. Attributes help to explain or describe a member in a dimension. You can show member attributes in a table.

For example, suppose you have a dimension with car models with an attribute called CustomerTarget, and you want to see the customer target for each car model in the table. You can choose to show or hide this attribute.

Procedure

  1. Right-click either the row selector or the column selector, then click Show attributes.
  2. In the Show attributes pane, select the attributes that you want to show in the view.

You can select several attributes and you can choose the order in which the attributes are displayed by moving them using the up and down arrows on the Selected pane.

  3. Click Apply to save your choices and to return to the view.
  4. You can sort the attributes in either ascending or descending order. Right-click either a row attribute selector or a column attribute selector, then click the desired sort order.
  5. To hide attributes, right-click the row or column selector, then click Show attributes > Hide attributes.
