Installation and configuration roles
During your planning, identify the administrators in your environment who can provide connection information, configuration assistance, and access rights for the installation. These roles represent areas of responsibility for the environment. These administrators can supply the parameters for your configuration checklist and assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of your system.

Configuration checklist
When you configure IBM Case Manager, you need information about the products that IBM Case Manager integrates with. To quickly and efficiently install and configure IBM Case Manager, work with the administrators of these products to collect this information before you start the installation and configuration.

Planning for IBM Case Foundation installation
IBM Case Manager depends on IBM FileNet P8 Platform for content and process management. You must install and configure a standard distributed IBM FileNet P8 Platform environment before you install IBM Case Manager. You must configure object stores on the Content Platform Engine and configure a workflow system to work with IBM Case Manager.

Planning for IBM Case Manager server installation
T cahe server where you install IBM Case Manager requires installations of an application server and IBM Content Navigator. If some of the components are already installed before you install IBM Case Manager, upgrade the components and configure them to work together.
