Monitoring running SPL applications

You can view the status of running applications, view streaming data, work with metrics, and many other tasks to monitor running SPL applications within Streams Studio.

Solving problems using Streams Studio
IBM® Streams Studio provides several methods to help you find and solve problems with your IBM Streams applications.
Viewing streaming data in Streams Studio
In Streams Studio, you can use the Properties view for an output port to show data that is flowing through an IBM Streams application.
Monitoring SPL applications using the instance graph
The instance graph provides a graphical view of the applications that are running in an instance. You can monitor the health of your SPL applications by using the health indicators that are reported by the Instance Graph view.
Working with the Metrics view
You can monitor the metrics from a running IBM Streams instance with the Metrics view in Streams Studio.
Managing log and trace data
You can view the log and trace data that is generated by IBM Streams in Streams Studio. Streams Studio creates an Eclipse project that is called StreamsStudioLogs and downloads and saves the log and trace data in this project.
