Administering the web management service

The web management service provides web-based access to instance services. The web management service must be running on a resource in the domain before you can use the Streams Console and REST API.If you do not require any of those tools or features, you can stop the web management service.

By default, the web management service is configured when you create a domain and runs on port 8443.

To determine whether the web management service is running, you can run the streamtool getdomainstate command. The following command output example shows that the web management service (SWS) is running on host1.
