Migrating streams processing applications that use Java primitive operators or native functions

InfoSphere® Streams Version 4.1 requires that the application's Java™ virtual machine supports Java 8 Standard Edition.

Applications that currently use a Java 7 virtual machine must be recompiled to use the Java virtual machine that is installed with InfoSphere Streams in the $STREAMS_INSTALL/java directory, or a different Java 8 virtual machine.
