You can install Db2® Big SQL on a Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) cluster.

Planning your Db2 Big SQL topology
You can deploy Db2 Big SQL in two different topologies: Co-located Db2 Big SQL worker nodes and DataNodes, where worker nodes are installed on the same nodes as the HDFS DataNodes, or Db2 Big SQL worker nodes installed on dedicated edge nodes.
Preparing to install Db2 Big SQL
Before you install Db2 Big SQL, you must prepare your environment by following a list of prerequisite steps.
